Why are we doing all this?

Most cosmetics on the market are sold in plastic packaging.

Whether it's shampoos, soaps, body washes... Sometimes we even have plastic around the cap.

All this is an excess of packaging, it has no use.

But it's not just the packaging.

Some cosmetics contain plastic in their composition. because it's a thickener that doesn't cost manufacturers a lot of money.

The manufacture of artisanal bars

The artisans at Balade en Provence create a blend of the highest quality natural oils and rich organic ingredients such as grape seed oil, coconut oil, rapeseed oil, shea butter and French clay to make the bars.

We then leave the bars to rest for 30 days on wooden shelves to give the oils time to mix and mature.

We do not heat them, so the saponification process is called "cold process".

This process also allows the ingredients in our bars to retain their natural properties.

About Balade en provence

We are a Provençal company of organic and zero waste cosmetics, manufacturing sensory beauty bars with care.

When we launched our first skin care range four years ago, we were surprised to discover that most shampoos, shower gels and other liquid skin care products contain more than 80% water, chemical preservatives and are contained in plastic packaging.

Trucks, boats and airplanes burning energy to transport water-based products, packaged in plastic and containing ingredients potentially harmful to consumers were not good enough for us at all, so we decided to do something about it.

Our philosophy is to promote benevolence.

"Benevolence" is a French term that can be defined as "generosity or desire to do good".

At Balade en Provence, we believe that all actions, large and small, have an impact.

Solid soaps are not only better for you but also for the environment. Most liquid cosmetics come in plastic packaging, contain harmful ingredients that can irritate the skin, and up to 85% water.

Our solid beauty bars, on the other hand, are certified vegan and organic and packaged in 100% compostable cardboard (printed with vegetable-based ink). They are natural and cruelty-free.

Our solid products are also more concentrated than your traditional liquid shampoo and shower gel, making them last longer.

What ingredients are not present in solid products?

Our beauty bars are Vegan, palm oil free, sulphate free(only the conditioner contains sulphates at the moment, but we are constantly looking to improve our products), plastic free and preservative free .

What is the lifetime of solid products?

Our solid products are concentrated so that you can use them longer than traditional liquid products.

A 40g soap can replace up to 2 bottles and an 80g soap up to 3!
